Ok, so i've found that this works every time. You get a plate of tuna or whatever your cats fish of choice is, you open the front door and place the dish outside. Once the cat has vacated the premises to eat said seafood you close the front door and walk away.
Guaranteed he'll never spray again.
j/k i love my kitties.
sorry wish i could help though.

Get a water pistol, fill it with water, and spray him back. j/k. I'm not sure how to stop him spraying. All I know about cats, really, is they'll chase a laser light like their life depends on it. Its funny.
I was going to suggest putting in a question on Yahoo Answers, but you'll get about 20 replies of "look it up" and "try google" before you get a halfway decent answer. But then, the halfway decent answer will be far better than what I've written here because I haven't answered the question at all. I'm good at being useless.
Good luck with that! I think I agree with YvoLaLu, the little bastard I adopted still sprays, and knows it! He'll spray right in front of me and run like hell! (On the up side, he sprayed a friend of mine one night, I laughed my ass off!)
I was given a natural pheromone spray by my vet to calm my cats during the house move - apparently this stuff is used to chill them out and stops spraying and other damaging behaviour because of stress. When I moved into the new place I was told to spray this stuff around the house so the cats would smell it and become accustomed to their surroundings - it's worth asking your vet if this could work for your cat?
I have never had male cats, but I know that they sell a pheromone calming sprays and they also have it in a plug in device that might help. Here is a link: http://catfaeries.com/feliway.html
Good luck!!
Ugh, I hate the smell of cat piss! You poor bastard! From what I've heard, nothing will stop a male house cat from spraying. A good quick swat from a solid shovel will put him outta your misery, though ;-)
